Sprowston Church

Sprowston Methodist is known locally as "Wroxham Road" or "Rocky Road". In offering three services every Sunday, we express a diversity of styles (traditional, all-age and open/charismatic) in which most folk feel at home. We also host a local Christian Chinese Congregation that meets each Sunday afternoon. Wroxham Road has a mixed membership of almost 175 people of all ages, and offers a full range of midweek activities.

We have around 80 people attending 12 regular midweek Housegroups throughout the week, mostly in the evenings. But there are 3 afternoon meetings and 1 morning meeting as well. We are sure there's a place for you.

In addition to their Sunday afternoon services, the local Chinese Congregation also meets on the two Mondays following the second Sunday each month, offering a warm welcome to friends from the local Chinese community. English Language lessons are offered on Wednesday mornings in term time by arrangement. Leadership is also provided by a Chinese Mission Worker.

Occasional prayer weeks have become a strong feature of church life, especially during Holy Week. We continue to work through the practical implications of developing our local mission today. With an eye on the "Cell" concept and in partnership with our Anglican neighbours, we are seeking to explore new initiatives in mission and prepare for flexible future congregations.
