East Norfolk Circuit Circuit
The East Norfolk Circuit is a newly formed Circuit (from 1st September 2007) of churches from the former Great Yarmouth and Gorleston; Acle and Loddon; Martham; and North Walsham and Aylsham Circuits. There are 21 churches in our new Circuit and we have 4 full time ministers. Our Superintendent minister is Rev Chris Shreeve.
Our vision: bearing witness at the crossroads of history and hope, the East Norfolk Cicuit proclaims Jesus Christ to a restless world by preparing followers for faithful discipleship. As we listen to the word of God in community, the Holy Spirit empowers us to lead in church and world through worship, education, service and encouragement.
Our mission statement: to unite the congregations and communities of the East Norfolk Methodist Circuit in working for God.
Our aim: To unite all in worship and prayer, study, fellowship and service, enabling their Christian witness in home and church and community. To encourage an informed interest in worldwide mission and evangelism, leading to support, at home and abroad, of the work of God.
We serve a wide area from the urban landscape of Great Yarmouth to the rural scenes of an area close to the East Coast and the Norfolk Broads. Holidaymakers to our area can enjoy the extensive facilities of Great Yarmouth, whilst being very near to a broad selection of camping and caravan sites, holiday camps, sailing and motor boat moorings, and a number of nature reserves.
Amongst arable farms and livestock grazing areas, the area is host to great flocks of migrating waterfowl - and several rare species of birds, plants and animals. We are within easy reach of Norwich. The nearest rail stations are at Great Yarmouth and Acle
